Terms of Service

Plain-language summary: This is an early public beta for small, lawful applications. You own your code. Do not deploy harmful code or depend on the service for critical workloads.

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using getsmall.dev, you agree to these Terms. If you use the service for an organization, you represent that you may accept these Terms for it.

2. The service

getsmall.dev builds, hosts, and shares user-submitted software in isolated computing environments. The service is a beta and may change, experience downtime, impose limits, or discontinue features.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and promptly notify us of unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of code and data you submit. You grant us a limited license to store, copy, build, execute, transmit, and display that content only as needed to provide, secure, and improve the service.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to distribute malware, mine cryptocurrency, attack or scan systems, evade security controls, infringe rights, process illegal content, send spam, impersonate others, or consume resources in a manner that harms the service or other users. We may suspend workloads or accounts that create risk.

6. Security boundary

We use layered workload isolation, but no sandbox is infallible. You must not submit secrets inside source archives. Use environment variables. Do not use the service for safety-critical systems, regulated production data, or workloads where compromise or downtime could cause material harm.

7. Free and paid plans

Free usage is subject to published limits and fair-use controls. Paid subscriptions renew monthly until canceled and are managed through Stripe's hosted billing portal. During the current development period, checkout runs only in Stripe test mode and does not create real charges. If a paid subscription ends or payment fails, paid limits are removed; over-limit apps are paused and preserved rather than deleted.

8. Availability and data

We do not promise uninterrupted availability or permanent retention during beta. Maintain your own copy of source code and important data. We may stop inactive workloads and delete abandoned accounts after reasonable notice.

9. Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or error-free operation, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, getsmall.dev will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms and will change the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated reasonably. Questions may be sent to legal@getsmall.dev.
